Vote for Domestic Violence Charity

Women's Aid are asking its supporters to vote for its charity 'Oasis' in Kent in the semi-finals of the National Lottery Awards.

Domestic violence which leads to a death has increased sharply over the last few years due in part to the recession. The same recession means less money for charities such as Oasis so the situation is even more serious than it normally is. The National Lottery is a good way of injecting money into a very worthwhile cause.

Oasis Domestic Abuse Service 'was established in May 1994 to provide emergency, temporary and safe accommodation and /or support to one of society's most vulnerable groups - women and children who have/or are suffering domestic abuse.'
